Bruin medical student Voltaire Sinigayan '09 is the son of a nurse, so he learned about healing at a very young age. For his career, Sinigayan is dedicated to practicing what he calls "more of a holistic type of medicine." So the intrepid doctor-in-training sought out UCLA’s Mobile Clinic Project, where teams of law, medicine and public health students go out into the community to help L.A.'s homeless. Voltaire is chief of one of the facilities based in Westwood, providing patients with help and support "socially, psychologically and medically."
