NCAA Silver Anniversary Awards

These are but highlights for a university with “the most complete athletic program in the country” (according to Sports Illustrated), trailblazing medical and scientific researchers, and a deep commitment to service.

First to 103
UCLA’s NCAA title explosion began in 1964 and hasn’t let up. Bruins took three more titles in the 2007-08 school year, bringing UCLA to 103 national championships – more than any other school in history:
Artificial muscles

NCAA Academic Progress Rates – based on the eligibility, retention and graduation of scholarship student-athletes – show UCLA continues to perform well. Schools that fall below the 925 APR mark in a sport are subject to penalties, but all of UCLA’s 24 sports had a four-year APR above that cutoff. <more>
