Water wise: Sustainable Living Program

The campus entrance at Hilgard and Wyton is a little different from other entryways to UCLA. While the letters "UCLA" are framed in traditional ivy, the landscape in front of them is a water-efficient demonstration garden.

Three different constituencies were involved: undergraduates in the Education for Sustainable Living Program; advanced students enrolled in UCLA Extension's landscape architecture program, and the UCLA staff who maintain the grounds.
