Voices of Egypt

John Scott-Railton, an urban planning student at UCLA, was following the Egyptian protests closely. When the government cut off internet and cell phone use, Railton contacted his friends in Egypt using their land lines. Then he began tweeting and sending out audio reports on their behalf. Some of his audio clips have been played 272,000 times.
