Can an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit bring a new dimension to social justice efforts? That's what alumnus Brian Rishwain believes. His Rishwain Social Justice Entrepreneurship award recognized the work of two urban planning doctoral students.
Ava Bromberg created a mobile planning lab for a South L.A. neighborhood, while John Scott-Railton helped design a plan to protect a slum region in Senegal from devastating floods.
